I have been running since fifth grade. My favorite professional runners are David Rudisha and Evan Jager. My favorite high school runner is Chris Watson because he periodically reads this blog and should definitely make one.

So I got sick this week and missed Monday. I am typing this from Sunday and entered my easy mileage for the day as my total from the week. Ran the 800 as I didn't think I could handle a longer distance being sick (was worried cause I bombed a workout on Wednesday). Took it out in fourth and caught up with the group in the final straightaway of the first lap. Passed the leader (Dante) at 500m and made a break, kicking hard down the final stretch. Apparently that wasn't enough as Dante came past me and won by a tenth or two. Still happy with a two second PR in my first race of the season in this condition. Dropped a 55 in the third leg of my 4x400 for my fastest quarter ever run and our team won the meet. Watched our freshmen Tom and Ben both run 4:52 for their first race, which was great. Both of those guys should be under 4:40 by the end of the season. Finished an 8 mile run on Saturday.
