Sophomore at Michigan State University in East Lansing

I have been running since fifth grade. My favorite professional runners are David Rudisha and Evan Jager. My favorite high school runner is Chris Watson because he periodically reads this blog and should definitely make one.

I am going to resume entering races and workouts here but my taper has begun and mileage is low and just designed to keep me fresh as possible for state. District 1600 was pretty good. Pack went out fairly fast and I maintained position in lane 2 near the front. First lap was a 64, then a 66. Next I took the lead to push the pace and we came through in 3:14. My legs were pretty tight so I couldn't respond as effectively as desired to the final move that the 2 Garfield runners pulled but I held on to them. Finished fairly hard and did a final push to hold off Enrique from Franklin challenging me for 3rd. Now I'm going to State and I have a new PR. All in all a good result.
